I’ve always been a sucker for little, tiny things. As far as I’m concerned, any good thing can be made that much better by miniaturizing it. Well, except for dogs. I’m not a fan of tiny dogs. Or cakes. Bigger is definitely better there. Actually, I guess there are a lot of things that wouldn’t be improved by shrinking. But! But! A computer is not one of those things, I am here to tell you. And I’m doing the telling from the world’s smallest computer!
All right, all right, I exaggerate … but not by much. Today I became the proud owner of an Eee PC. Fully opened and laid flat, this thing is about as big as a standard-sized sheet of printer paper. Folded up, it fits easily in my handbag, and it doesn’t weigh more than a trade paperback. It’s awesome, and everyone who’s seen it is positively green with envy. I’d be pea green myself if I were them, poor souls without an amazing husband to give them the coolest belated birthday present ever.
