I know I said a couple of weeks ago that Lydia was fully outfitted for the upcoming school year, but the sales are just so good right now that I couldn’t resist taking her to town and buying just a few more things.  Her favorite purchase of the day–strongly, strongly reinforcing my growing understanding that I am completely out of touch with her tastes –was a red-white-and-blue plaid, cowboy-style shirt with pearl snaps.  From the boys’ department.  I would never in a million years have chosen such a garment for her.  I think maybe her Idaho roots are showing … what’s next, Wranglers and ropers?
