Fall back

Tonight’s the night we change back the clocks and go back to winter time, which means that tomorrow it will be dark by four in the afternoon. Other than that, I have to say that it doesn’t feel much at all like winter’s on the way. The temperatures have been mild, up in the 40s on the Fahrenheit scale (5-10C), and though we’ve had some rain off and on, there hasn’t been a hint of snow yet. This may be the loveliest, longest autumn of all since I moved to Sweden almost eleven years ago. Winter will never be a favorite of mine, it’s true, but I find that I’m much more favorably disposed toward it when it holds off until a reasonable time, as it’s done this year.

  1. Hold off and then leave quickly! The best kind of winter! I was remembering the winter three years ago when we had almost no snow. I could handle another winter like that.

  2. I just want the snow to hold off a few more weeks until after I have taken my driving test! 😛 Is that too much to ask?!? 😉
