Tonight’s the night we change back the clocks and go back to winter time, which means that tomorrow it will be dark by four in the afternoon. Other than that, I have to say that it doesn’t feel much at all like winter’s on the way. The temperatures have been mild, up in the 40s on the Fahrenheit scale (5-10C), and though we’ve had some rain off and on, there hasn’t been a hint of snow yet. This may be the loveliest, longest autumn of all since I moved to Sweden almost eleven years ago. Winter will never be a favorite of mine, it’s true, but I find that I’m much more favorably disposed toward it when it holds off until a reasonable time, as it’s done this year.

Fall back
October 29, 2011
Hold off and then leave quickly! The best kind of winter! I was remembering the winter three years ago when we had almost no snow. I could handle another winter like that.
I just want the snow to hold off a few more weeks until after I have taken my driving test! 😛 Is that too much to ask?!? 😉
