Two pumpkin pies, praline-topped sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, spinach dip, ranch dressing, and assorted crudités, those our my culinary contributions to our Thanksgiving feast tomorrow evening. It feels like I got off easy compared to my co-chefs, who between them are doing the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and a wide selection of side dishes. I might have to whip up one or two other things as compensation … too much food is the name of the game, after all.

T-day tally
November 26, 2011
Heh. I baked a pumpkin pie, two sweet potato pies (when I saw at 7pm that my mixture was only going to make ONE pie… PANIC), 36 rolls and a loaf of bread (I ran out of muffin pans)….
Today I have turkey, gravy, various veggies, and tons of potatoes to peel, mash, and mix. Thank goodness noone shows up until 4pm. My ‘co-chefs’ this year include my husband who is putting up with a LOT! 😉 Maybe next year I should be a bit smarter and hand out things to other people to make.
Sarah, I did the same. Took everything on alone! But I happily served 18 hungry people from all parts of the world. I even took a day off work just to bake! It was fun, but probably only happening every other year! Thankfully I made so much I have a fridge packed with leftovers! And received 10 bottles of glögg as gifts! Haha! Happy thanksgiving!
