Monday

My computer mouse bit the dust a couple of days ago and I’ve been reduced to using an old, scroll-less mouse. Oh, the horror of scroll-less-ness. Last week I would have told you that I hardly used the scroll button and that any old mouse that worked would suit me fine, but oh, was I wrong. It’s so true that you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.

On another front, I’ve branched out a bit (sorry about the pun) in my plant collecting. The shelves we put up in the Big Room window, while quite nice, just don’t get enough light to suit my geraniums, so I moved them to other windows several weeks ago. I just can’t bear not to have plants on those shelves, though, so today I bought four little African violets, which should tolerate the low light better. I also put the jade plant that Helena gave me and some picture frames and candle-holders on the shelves and now it looks delightfully eclectic if I do say so myself. Thom Filicia would so approve.
