I just finished up printing and folding the invitations for Lydia’s Halloween party. There’s been some uncertainty about whether the date conflicts with some other kiddie event, but we couldn’t get any firm details about the other shindig, so I decided just to go ahead and stick with what we’ve got planned. We’re inviting sixteen second graders and I’m both excited and apprehensive about having a “real” Halloween party. I suppose the good thing is that these little Swedes won’t have much in the way of expectations since Halloween isn’t really a done thing for little kids over here. Still, I suppose I should get started planning some games or something.
I never did get around to getting my tulip bulbs planted this weekend, but I did make another batch of orange rolls. I wish I could say that it was because they were so good that everyone was clamoring for more, but, unfortunately, it was because Asbjørn ate the entire batch that I made last night. He made himself good and sick, too, and I was more than a little worried about him this morning, at least until he threw up a couple of times. He is such a glutton — I don’t think he even knows what he’s eating half the time.
