Lessons

I could learn a thing or two from my husband about how to be a good partner. It struck me just now that if he were undertaking a project that would take him away from home for two or three days every week, demand a great deal of his attention when he was at home, and cost us a ton of money, I would not be nearly so gracious as he’s been to me about starting this master’s program. And that’s understating both his graciousness and my lack of same. It’s also only one example of the kind of thing that makes it so indescribably wonderful to share a life with him.

I really must remember to focus more on these qualities and much, much less on whether he rinses out his empty milk cartons. We’d undoubtedly both be happier.
