As faithful readers will have noticed, I had a spot of trouble regarding domain renewal and beverlyrevelry disappeared for several days. It looks as though we’ve got all that sorted now (for another year at least, but don’t get me started *eyeroll*) and I’m back to entertain you all with more or less regular entries … er, pictures of my kids.

I’ll get right to it and give you a picture of Lydia, taken this morning (her ninth birthday) after she opened her presents. I don’t know what the look on her face is about (Was it too early for so many presents? Did she expect something different? Was she even awake?), but it made me laugh.

As usual, she was fêted in style, and got more presents than any one kid needs. Additionally, she got the non-present treats of a birthday cake and her favorite dinner (falukorv and mashed potatoes), plus a package of school clothes that we ordered a couple of weeks ago and which made a fortuitous arrival this afternoon. And all of this before we’ve even made it to the main event, her “real” party — a disco-themed affair scheduled for Saturday evening. That kid doesn’t know how good she’s got it.
