Lydia came home today with the news that she had been accepted as one of six third graders chosen to start trumpet lessons this fall. She’s thrilled and can’t stop talking about it, and I think I may be just as excited as she is. I played trombone and baritone in school for eight years and I LOVED it — I really hope she has the same experience.

the trumpet is an absolutely wonderful instrument 🙂 I play it, one of the few girls who do. we need more girls playing the trumpet in Sweden, go Lydia 😀

Alex is excited about 3rd grade next year because that is when they get to try an instrument as well.
I am just as excited as he is, but I wonder how I excited I will be when I have to listen to him practice over and over. HA! My mom always made me go out on the front porch and practice! Good thing there were no nearby neighbors! 😉
